Stromboli’s Beaches

The island coastline is a succession of basaltic cliffs, large beaches and small-secluded coves. The beaches are one of the island main attractions, where black volcanic sand, soft as velvet.

Beside the vast majority of the beaches are easily accessible; some require a bit of trekking, between lush vegetation, boulders and lava flows. Some of the smaller beaches and coves are only reachable by boat.
